Mr. Timoshenko is a member of and Secretary of the Corporate Board of Directors of the YMCA of Long Island, one of Long Island's largest charities. He is a member of the Executive Committee and also serves as Chairman of the Marketing Committee. Mr. Timoshenko works to further the goals of the YMCA in its efforts to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families on Long Island.

An advocate for and a supporter of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation and the Shriner's Children's Burn Center, Mr. Timoshenko has devoted thousands of hours to firematic and law enforcement pursuits, and has served as a firefighter as well as a N.Y.S. Fire Police Lieutenant.

In recognition of his work with various community and charitable organizations, Mr. Timoshenko received the State of Kentucky's highest honor - the rank of Colonel on the Staff of the State Governor.

Mr. Timoshenko is a past recipient of the NYC Mayor's Voluntary Action Center Award, a Certificate of Commendation from the American Legion for outstanding law enforcement service, and a variety of other service and meritorious awards from the New York City Police Department, the Nassau County Police Department, Nassau County, and several local Long Island Villages.

A tireless advocate of better healthcare, Mr. Timoshenko had the honor to serve as the Journal Chairman for the Montefiore Hospital 2003 Gala. Held at the Waldorf Astoria, the fundraiser broke all previous records, with over 1,000 people attending, and an incredible $1.8+ million raised. Further, Mr. Timoshenko has served on the Gala Committee for the Coalition on Child Abuse and Neglect and is a supporter of FOTA (Friends of the Arts).
